Eleanor Neel with Renate Bethge (AAR in the 1980s)

One of the IBS-ELS ‘nons,’ as described by Alice Bond, Eleanor was a non-academic/professional theologian, non-pastor who did the work (research) and presented on Bonhoeffer all over the world, was elected to the Board of Directors, and, most recently, was invited to participate in the IBS-ELS Board of Directors’ Strategic Planning Retreat in 2016 in San Antonio, TX. Eleanor Neel was a professional vocalist and performed with choirs and quartets across the country.
